The octagonal basket is in good o very good condition.Ī collection of 13 cabinet and wall hanging plates, saucers, and platters. The two double weave baskets have slight, single condition issues. Both the lid and body of the basket incorporate red, green, and yellow died fibers into geometric patters. The weave pattern is a coil method similar to the turtle basket however utilizing much thinner vegetal source material and the basket is a single weave rather than doubled. The third basket is octagonal, measuring 6 inches by 6 inches on top and bottom and stands 3-1/2 inches tall. The pattern is a coil weave and creates a turtle depiction on the basket bottom and base. The smaller, oval double weave basket measures 10-1/2 inches by 10-inches at the top and 9 inches by 7 inches at the bottom and stands 1-1/2 inches tall. The larger of the two double weave baskets measures 15 inches in top diameter, 13-1/2 inches in bottom diameter and stands 3-1/2 inches tall with a "herring bone" weave pattern. A collection of three Native American baskets, two in Cherokee-style double weave and one smaller octagonal basket with a lid. ![]()
